   Joe Cross, our hero in "Fat, Sick, and almost dead," an inspiring documentary is both overweight and has a serious medical problem to boot --- an autoimmune disease that requires 15 milligrams per day of prednisone. This dosage guarantees long-term adverse side effects.

Despite his physical challenges seriously, if not urgent, Cross is a successful businessman.
