   I rarely write movie reviews, so I am for this film even says anything. I know the ratings for this have been all over the place, so I wanted in my two cents, which means that, given what it has brought, I loved it!

Now none of you know me, so you do not realize how important this statement is coming from me of all people. While yes, I am female, I hate - absolutely * hate * - American romantic comedies. I absolutely can not stand and the only exceptions are 100% Bringing Up Baby from 1938, and When Harry Met Sally ... from the year 1989. So yes, it's been a while since I realize that broke the rule has been found.

I wanted to see this movie, both because of the actors (Goodwin and love Krasinski) and because it is a story (hopefully), where the shy, quiet girl gets the guy. However, I am prepared to like him for two reasons. At first I was * very * concerned about the premise of potential fraud, as I see problems, even just reading about it in books or movies, like Closer have. Second, it is a romantic comedy! How I might end up liking it?

It turned out I was totally wrong. Something Borrowed was hysterical - the writing was great and the wonderful delivery. The cast was great as well: John Krasinski, whom I adore in The Office is hands down unbelievably fantastic in his role, Ginnifer Goodwin, a beautiful and talented actress who plays her role to perfection, and Colin Egglesfield, a quiet and subtle actor , makes for a great Dex. Darcy (Kate Hudson character) is ridiculously exaggerated, but whatever - I could see it in the face of everything that was right with this movie.

Also, this film was able to do what in this genre usually do not do: It was in a position to something more realistic, while still giving us a wonderful happy ending - not involved sappiness or lard (two of my main objections to romance films). The main characters ride on - repeatedly - and sometimes you want to beat some of them upside the head (... was it just me?), But it feels very authentic! And again: the love triangle, I think one of the things that it was made all the more authentic the very real dilemma that Rachel, Dex and Darcy are confronted with.
