   The X-Men films are a sort of huge disappointment as a whole, is not it? The first two are pretty good, but all good things they had going for them, was totally destroyed as soon as The Last Stand came into play. Thank you, Brett Ratner. And X-Men Origins: Wolverine easily took the franchise even further into the ground, praise, Gavin Hood. So it probably has no reason to inspire a new X-Men movie, even if it enjoy a prequel to the X-Men movies that people actually. Why should we be another comic adaptation with unlimited possibilities only to see the ball drop yet again? Not only that X-Men: First Class, you take the ball and run with it, but it uses them in the right way and reminds you why you loved the X-Men in the first place.

The cast is much better than it has to be a law. Each fits her character incredibly well and it works fantastic as a cohesive unit. Kevin Bacon seems a bit like an odd choice for Sebastian Shaw at the beginning, but any doubt you may have, is gone once you finally see how he washed up energy. His role as the villain may be much smaller than you might imagine, but his acting chops more than qualified to do almost every scene, he is a part of the unforgettable (nothing really tops his first scene with young Magneto though). James McAvoy does an excellent job dealing with Charles Xavier. He is gentle, friendly and really seems to help his fellow mutants care. Michael Fassbender as Magneto, it creates the strongest presence on the screen. He is intense, powerful and emotional, the most rounded character in the film.

It was gratifying to see McAvoy and Fassbender make the roles of Professor X and Magneto their own, they created completely without rehashing what Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen for the first time. This is often a problem when it comes to prequels, these younger players submitted focus on imitation of the older version of who they wanted, without their own spin to portray him. Fortunately, this was not a problem here.
